Im still here...

Wow. It's been a VERY long time since my last post. I've been so busy. I barely have time to breathe. I decided I should blog about what I've been up too, so you all know I haven't fallen off the Earth. So brace your self for a decent post.

School started back in August, and I finally made it to my junior year. Gosh, I feel so old. This is my first year in all Honor classes ( I'm usually not in Honors math) and AP History. My AP US History(APUSH) class is probably the best class I have. I love my teacher. He is great! However, 8 people have dropped out within the past 2 weeks and 4 more will most likely be out by next week. I had all my friends in there and now I only have 1 left. And me and my friend are the only girls. :) I figured with my friends gone, there will be less distractions and since the class is down to 8, there will be more one-on-one teaching.

I found a new love for Jiu-Jitsu. I love beating up guys and I'm quite great at it. I also love volleyball and have been playing for my church. I'm pretty beast, (that means I'm great!).

We get class rings in Nov. I'm so excited. :) I got our school mascot on one side and track & field on the other. On my left hand I have a HUGE national cheerleading ring and on the right I'll have a delicate class ring. It'll look funny dont ya think?

Oh and our football team has done surprisingly good this year. Check out my moms blog for what were all up to.

Schhool.

So its the moment I've been waiting for..no, I haven't received my letter from the hospital...I got my schedule for my junior year of high school. And well, our lousy no good guidance consulers (yes, they really are) messed it up. So its pretty wack.

1st :Pre Cal Honors
2nd: Study Hall
3rd: Chemistry 1 Honors
4th: AP US History ( my favorite teacher is teaching this :))
5th: Spanish 2
6th:Study Hall
7th: English 4 Honors

Ya see. I only signed up for one study hall, not 2. however next semester i will have no study hall. 2nd and 6th period is music appreciation. 2nd is music appreciation 1 and 6th is music appreciation 2. well ya cant do 2 if ya aren't finished with 1. Oh well, my school is messed up. At least i have lunch with my best friends.! :)

Wahoo!

Hello everyone! Sorry its been a while but I have been so busy. :) So, Friday I had a interview at the Childrens hospital for TeenBoard. Its a volunteer board for teenagers, its all year round too. You get to decorate the hospital for Christmas, and trick or treat. I find out if I get on it this week. Im very excited.

Also, I have the best father in the whole entire world!! I love him so much. He surprised me yesterday with a shopping spree for school! The best part was, I got to do it with momma. Which is a big deal because I almost didn't get to and I cant shop with out my mother! We had so much fun, and I did a good job with the money I had. I got 5 shirts (from American Eagle, Hollister, Aeropostale) which is really good, considering they are usually expensive. I'm best friends with the clearance racks. Also, I got 3 pairs of paints. Of course they are all from Aeropostale, cause their Short Length Jeans aren't terribly to long on me. However, I tried on a pair of capris and they ended up being jeans. :) I love being short sometimes. I even got my first pair of rainbows!!! I got a pink nike bookbag, and my school supplies. I still need a few more things, but I still have a few days left.

I start school Monday. Ill be a junior. :) oh yeah! but right now, I'm being the substitute 6th grade teacher for 2 twin boys, hmm??

You Can Be A...World Changer!

This is a post about World Changers. Ah, I really do miss it. I miss the horrible food, the mountains, the weather, the rain, the school, the showers that had trash bags as curtains. Actually, I don't miss the showers..I love having my stripe shower curtain. :) I miss sleeping on a sir mattress, and the worship services.

My crew..I really miss these people. They were awesome. They came from all over this side of the US. There were some from Virginia, Tennessee, and Ohio. We all got along great...except for the first day I met them, I thought they were annoying. Yet, in the long run..I became very good friends with them all and we all cried when we left.

Every Wednesday, we have a half-day. That means we work till about 1 and come back to our lodging area. The church groups go off and have a fun filled day. Well my youth group, went to the mall...it was HUGE!!..like 3 stories! Then we went to Outback or Chilli's. The people at Outback almost had a heart attack when I told them we had a party of 40! Then we went to a baseball game...Appalachian Power. I must say I had a lot of fun. I got chosen to perform the YMCA with a couple of teenagers, we made human subway sandwiches. Except for the baseball team was horrible. I think our little league all star team could have done better...they are going to the Little League World Series. I got in trouble for yelling at the other team... :) And I'm pretty sure our youth pastor is deaf, because every time the ball was hit in our direction all the girls screamed...later on this team hit a LITTLE boy in the SHOULDER!!

World Changers was great. You really grow spiritually and you really do realize how blessed you really are. At the end of the week 6 people were saved. One student (a youth), some homeowners, and even people down the street. During this week, me and Anna Kathryn (the other girl in this picture), witnessed to someone who excepted Christ. It's amazing to see how God can use you. I can't wait till next year. I'm hoping we go to Middle America. However, it doesn't matter where God ends up taking us, our work as Christian is never done.

Never Be Ready...

The beach was great...of course, you can read about the main points of the trip at my moms blog. :) I'll post about it later.

So today I went to cross country for the second time. We ran 5 miles. Yes, I thought I was gonna die. When I showed up however, I was the only girl and those 3 dudes there, were hardcore athletes...oh boy! Or oh boys!! Well of course, I got left behind, cause well, my jog compared to their jog is hugely different. Well I was the last one done...and that was because well...I got lost.

Yes, I took the wrong path. My coach ended up finding me and I was in tears...I thought I was a goner...I knew I would get back to civilization. I just didn't know when.

So, I completely embarrassed myself.. First off, for getting lost, and not being able to keep up with the guys. Ive always been the best at what I do...so this is different. On the plus side, whenever the guys did pass me the gave me a high-five and told me I could do. Well, I did..I just did it wrong. :)

I cant wait till Charleston with Brianna (from Learning to Breathe). :) Oh and pray that her misson trip to IL will go great and that they will be able to witness.

Cooked Bacon...

We leave for the beach Saturday. :) I'm excited...and ready to be there...except, my room isn't clean and I have not packed. The beach is always fun. My best friend always comes with me and we always have the same room assignments. We always get McDonalds on the way up and she takes 2 hours to eat. ")

Last year, we went bike riding on the beach and got lost. I got chased by big dogs..scary! Later, we find out that every path leads to the main road. We had planned on seeing the sun rise, and we finally did on our last day. We went to Salty Dog and had virgin Pina Caladas.

However, last year, I was forbidden to do anything fun. Not because I was in trouble but because 3 months ago from then I had my knee surgery. I couldn't surf :( or tumble :( or even JUMP WAVES!! I know you think my summer was horrible. Well it wasn't. I just had tons of restrictions.

Well this summer, I can surf, tumble, jump waves, run, climb a ladder, play soccer. I have NO limitations. I can't wait!!

Today is my brothers girlfriends birthday! She is finally 19! So HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

"WELCOME TO MOE'S!!"

I went to Moe's yesterday for the very first time yesterday. Brianna (from Learning to Breathe), her little brother, Christian, my mommy, my older brother and his girlfriend came along, because me and Brianna couldn't get there without my wonderful mother. :)

I had a lot of fun. Brianna is really cool and her little brother is the best rain dancer. He is too cute! He informed me about every Marvel superhero and the Transformer movies. What a hoot.

I also had to renew my permit yesterday...sad i know. :( Sadly, tomorrow is my last day at the hospital because next week I'll be at the beach. However, I applied for the TeenBoard, so hopefully I will get on it and can go everyday after school. :)

Now, off to wash clothes to the beach...well if I can get off my lazy butt.

Set Apart...

I started thinking...what the world would be like if everyone didn't live like the world told them to? What if we all tried to live like Christ? There would be less violence, crimes, and lives taken by the choices others make.

I personally don't see why the world shuns God. Without Him, we wouldn't be here. He sent His Son to die for us, so he obviously loves us. Why don't others love him as well? God loves us, and cares about us. I also don't see why people think God isn't real. Yes, you can't see him physically, but look around yourself. You see trees, the sky, clouds, the sun. You feel rain, wind. Who else could create this?

Yet, I still don't see why you would want to live as the world. Some of my friends do, and it's sad. I will not conform into the ways of the world. I will live SET APART from the world. Won't you?

**Yes, this is scattered, but it's on my mind. Oh, and pray for momma. She is sick and its not fun around the house, when she is sick."

I really want to try Moe's.

Ugh. I have nothing to blog about. Well I do but I am not sure how to bring it into terms to were people would actually want to read it and have interest in it. I have so many stories from World Changers...my birthday party...and my summer happening. Its not that these are boring to me or that are unentertaining but i can't somehow put it to bloggy form. Also, I'm really busy and have no time. Which is a good thing because i LOVE busy. So one day this week, I will put something aside, and eventually upload my pictures, log onto this blog, hog up the computer and blog. So be waiting mom and Brianna (my only 2 readers). There will be a new post on this lonely blog of mine.

Oh, and pray for Landen. My precious baby, that doesn't belong to me.

Is it really summer?

:) She is gonna hurt me.

this is matt...

this is dhaval....

this is austin......

WOO HOO!! I made it! I am finally a JUNIOR in high school! (: Today is the first official day of summer vacation. It all came so fast and it surely doesn't feel like summer.

I look back to this year and realize all the accomplishments I have made. I brought my GPA up a lot! I jumped 15 spots in class rank. :) I lettered in a varsity sport and came out as 2nd in girls field events. I realized that cheerleading wasn't as important to my life as I thought it was.

I made a bunch of new friends, and they were mostly seniors and watching them graduate brought a tear to my eye. I know it isn't the last time I will see some of them, because a few are planning to attend my birthday party! (which is in a few days!!)

This summer is going to be full of fun! I leave for a mission trip in a week. My birthday is in a week (first birthday at home in 4 years). I start volunteering at the local children's hospital which saved the lives of my brothers who are so dear to me.

Ahhh...I'm ready for it to begin!

Here you go mom...

It's been a while since I blogged. I've been very busy though..sorry mom. School is stressful during these last few days, with exams, and teachers trying to get the grades in. I have two exams today and a science test. Ugh! Pray for me please!

In a few weeks, I'll be having my first birthday at home in four years. It's really weird, being able to plan a party, and I'm going to miss my surprise cakes from our youth group. I've been on mission trips during my birthday, and this year we leave the day after. :) So I'm getting a bunch of my closest friends together and were going to Chili's. Yummy!!

Did I mention, I'll be working in the gift shop, at the local children's hospital, that saved my little brothers life. I decided I wanted to give back, so I'm volunteering. It should be fun and I'll work every Monday morning. Plus, it will look good on college applications and scholarships.

This week, I have a few prayer requests: 1) The cop at our school, step-son has a brain tumor and the chemo and radiation are starting to take a toll on him. He is losing his hair, and it's hard. He is only 13. 2) Our youth group will be leaving on a mission trip up north called World Changers in a few weeks. 3) and Exams. Very stressful and over-whelming.

I hope that you all have a wonderful week. Check out Significance Source for Wednesday's prayer meeting.

You see...

It all started when I saw a kid in the youth group with his yearbook. I retrieved the yearbook from the kid, and looked through it with our youth directors wife. When me and Jamie are together we have tons of fun, especially when it comes to school and pictures. :)

Well Aaron (the youth director) went to the youth room, and started making announcements about upcoming projects and services. Me and Jamie continued looking through the yearbook in his office. Aaron, was talking about Youth Sunday, and needed someone to greet the congregation. Of course, I had no idea. So he yells, "Heather, will you welcome everyone?" So you can already guess what I did, I yelled very loudly, "WELCOME EVERYONE TO CHURCH!" Then I hear a sudden outburst of laughter.

So after getting picked on for the rest of church, he approached me with the same question. My response was different this time. I looked at him, and said, unsarcasticly, "Aaron, do you honestly think I will get in front of the whole entire church and welcome them. You know I don't do public speaking!" I got another laugh. *Sigh*

Oh, I love Aaron. And in 2 weeks, I will be welcoming the congregation against my will.

Slow Down Time...

Wow. Only 13 more days, and school is out. I'll no longer a sophomore. I'll be half-way done with high school. I'll be getting my class ring. Be able to go to prom. Be able to drive to school. Wear a blue lanyard. Take my first AP class. I'll be on my way to graduating before I know it, and I'll be gone away for college in 2 years.

Honestly, I want to slow down time. I don't want to grow up. I want to stay right here, this age, forever.

It's weird. I can vividly remember the Honors trip to Washington, DC I went on in 8th grade. Trying out for the middle school cheerleading team, and can remember how everything happened. It seems like yesterday I was stepping into high-school for the first time. Now, I'm about to be half-way done.

I don't like it. I get all sad..I'm actually crying as I right this. I can't seem to imagine myself in college, and not being able to see my parents face everyday. I wish I could slow down time. Yet, when I really think about it, I don't want it to go by slower. I want it to hurry and go faster. I want to be the first in the family to graduate medical school. I want to adopt a child from China. I'm ready for all this to happen, but I'm not.

Maybe I'm getting old. I think that's it. Isn't this what old people do? Sit here, and wish time would slow down. I have 28 days till my birthday. I'm starting to get wrinkles!! (NO LIE! - in between my eyes.) Also, when I walk, I creak (as in all you hear is click click click). Oh, I don't want to be old.

Busy Busy Busy..

This weekend was amazing! It was very busy, but I like busy. Busy is good. I worked constantly this weekend. It was all worth it in the long run though.
Friday was Relay For Life. It was held by my school and another high school in our district. The theme was India and we had a few Indian girls from our school paint henna tattoos. Yes I got one. We ended up raising over $100 (they were $1-5per tattoo). At Relay For Life they do a Survivor lap around the track. I saw this girl about my age. She was in tears, and I realized how blessed I am that I don't have to go through what she does. Be in prayer for her and those who took that walk. They have to live with the fear of the cancer coming back.
Also on Friday was Incentive Field Day. It was something our school just started, but it was TONS of fun! We had wobbly-ball races, water balloon relays and field goals competitions. Of course we could do other things, so me and my friends went to the jumping pit, to build sandcastles. :) We also tried to get to the bottom of the pit, but never reached it. We also had a rough game of Ultimate Frisbee. My new favorite game.
Saturday, I woke up at 7, and headed to the church. We were building a wheelchair ramp at the home of one of the youth. She has Spina-Bifida. She is the sweetest girl. Becky had no idea we were coming to build her a ramp, so when she woke up to us hammering and sawing in her front yard, she got emotional. Then I went to the Lower State Softball Tournament. Our girls softball team is in it. They won. Whoo Hoo!!
Sunday was Mothers Day! But I spent the morning taking care of a few 3 year olds at church. I love kids! They are so fun at that age. Then I worked on a government project all day. So much for spending time with momma.
**Well I hope everyone had a great weekend, and that all the mothers who read this blog had a great mother's day! I'll be back soon with some funny stories from this weekend.**

Dept. of Labor

So, we got our yearbooks. They are very cute and I love them! Today we had ** Idol. (** is name of school and since I don't want someone to know it and hunt me down..you cant know it). ** Idol is when the teachers of our school perform by singing, dancing, even marital arts. We had 3 of our old teachers impersonate a group of singers from the 60s, and my old teacher, showed us his Tae-kwon-do. It was great. Then the yearbook staff did a skit to introduce the yearbook. It was dedicated to my FAVORITE teacher! **my economics teacher** It was a great way to end the day!
Tomorrow is Friday..I get to attend Incentive Field Day-I'm getting out of 2 quizzes and not having to listen to Edgar Allen Poe say Bells, bells, bells, it's the bells bells bells. So that's GREAT! Also, tomorrow night is Relay For Life. Whoop whoop!! It's India themed this year, and my friend from India is bringing me a Indian dress thing to wear.
Then Saturday...I'm doing a pre-project with my church. Were building a wheelchair ramp for one of the girls in youth. Sadly, after this I must do my government project on Supreme Court cases. And my best friend is coming over, cause she is my partner....in crime.
Hopefully, I'll have time to blog..who knows. Have a great weekend. Maybe it won't storm.

Climb On!

So not to long ago, we had an inspirational speaker come to my high school. His name was John Beede. Of course we all thought it would be a boring assembly. I would to beg differ! He taught us 4 success strategies. I want to share them with you because they have helped me...

THE CLIMB ON! Strategies for Success
1.Pick a Summit
2. Gear Up
3. Ascend It
4. Leave it Better Than You Found It.

He then had us write down a list of goals we wanted to accomplish. Here are two of mine...1) Get a A in English. 2)Make a A on an English test. English is very hard for me. Well I used these strategies. My Summit was to, well make a A in English and a A on an English test. I geared up by always being prepared. To Ascend, I studied hard, and I always paid attention. And I did the 4th step by helping my English teacher.

Well, we got our grades today....I'm pleased to tell them to you...
*Government Honors(a SENIOR class)- 91% B
*Spanish I-95% A (the highest grade in my class!!)
*Biology I Honors-101% A :) (future doctor in training here)
*Algebra II-96% A (the highest grade out of all my teacher's classes!)
I'M PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT MY ENGLISH GRADE IS A 93!!! THAT'S an A! I jumped up and down you guys! I'm pretty much the happiest girl in the world!
*Oh, and John Beede has a book.... "Climb On!" Its a great book, and he gets the points across by a story. You can buy a copy on his website.*

Stupendous Saturday

It all started when I woke up this morning. Like most Saturday's, I went to my parents room and laid in their bed. I looked at my dad, and asked, "Where did you go this morning?" He looks at me, "A helicopter crashed in the woods in front of the house. We had to go help save the passenger and put out the fire." My wonderful mother says, "Yeah, I cant believe you didn't wake up, the house shook and the news was here. All 4 fire stations were here!" I ran to the front door, yelling to the twins what happened and we bolted through the front door.

I stomped back to there room, and they are laughing. I was all upset, I had even texted my friend, telling him what had happened. Well, there was no helicopter crash, just a carbon monoxide leak up the street. Being so gullible is totally a disadvantage. So, then I guess they felt bad because we had delicious pancakes for breakfast.

The twins and I went swimming today. It's finally hot enough. We played Scattergories, and I taught them how to do backflips- it was very unsuccessful. So we decided to kill each other with huge waterguns. Well, they never got it from me. We ended up shooting the water in the sky and tried not to get hit when it came down. Ryan brought down a big cooler filled with ice. I was curious to know what would happen if we put the ice in the pool. Needless to say, the water got even colder, and we had to get out.

Well the grandparents are here and we're about to grill out (PORK!! swine flu. eek!) Hope you enjoy your weekend!

My First Blog!

Since my mom has a blog, I decided it was time to me to follow in her footsteps. I'm not sure if anyone will read this, besides her, but this will just show life through the eyes of a teenager. Hope you enjoy my writings...now, a little about me.

For starters, I go by Darling Daughter, well at least in the bloggy atmosphere. I am fifteen, and at times I can be as mature as a twenty year old, but then again I can be as goofy as a twelve year old. I'm a sophomore in high school, and unlike most, I actually love it! I was a competitive cheerleader for five years and have tumbled since I was five, but that ended last year when I severed my ACL in my knee. So that's on hold for now. I do track & field at my school. I long jump and throw disc and shot, and i'm 2nd for all the girls. I am active in my youth group, and I stand up for what I believe in. I love my family!

That's all your getting for now. I don't want to bore my readers (if I have any besides mom-hey mom!).
